Martin Melkonian

Martin was born in Glendale, CA to immigrant Armenian parents which they raised Martin and his sibling with the highest of values. Martin grew up playing sports especially his love and passion for football where he played for Herbert Hoover High School. It was during his sophomore year when the unfortunate 9/11 attacks occurred that inspired Martin to join the United State Navy to help defend the United States of America. Martin served a total of 8 years and deployed to Iraq on 3 separate occasions where he was awarded several medals including the Combat Action Ribbon. His love for this country and his fellow veterans is undeniable. After his successful service, Martin wanted to embark on a career where he can help and protect just how he did in the military, hence the reason where his passion of insurance stemmed from. Martin opened his first agency in 2014 and during his tenure as a successful agent, Martin traveled around and he found his new home in the great State of Texas. In 2017, Martin moved to Houston, TX and worked for one of the most successful State Farm agencies in all of Houston, "the time I spent with my agent, helped me develop my love for the business even more."

Move forward to 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 breakout, Martin knew it was the perfect timing for him to apply and open for his agency because there is no better way of protecting someone's life and assets when it is threatened by a global disease outbreak and after successful interviews and training, Martin finally opened his agency in Houston, TX on December 1, 2020. Since then Martin's agency has grown to be one of the top premier agencies in not only in the Houston metropolitan area but around the country as well. "When you talk to Martin and learn from his skillset, you feel the passion coming from his tone and his expression, there are people that may treat this as a regular job but to him this is a career and a lifestyle" says one of his team members. Outside the agency, you can find Martin riding on his motorcycle all around Texas or may catch him at the local dog park where he loves taking his 4 dogs out to play or hosting a fundraiser to help support local veteran organizations and local communities and rest assure, every time you see him, he has the biggest smile on his face.
